About the brand

Cristina Ottaviano’s love for handling and embellishing fabrics was inspired at an early age by her great grandmother who was born in Galicia, Spain. It was she who passed down the centuries old arts of crochet and hand beading lace while generating in Cristina a life-long passion for design. Cristina Ottaviano, a native New Yorker, graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she apprenticed for Oscar de la Renta and Marc Jacobs. After graduating from FIT, she joined the design team at Marchesa. Her love for luxurious fabrics and intricate embroideries then led her to London where she studied at Central Saint Martins.

Cristina Ottaviano New York debuted during New York Fashion Week 2014 at Radio City Music Hall. The ultra-feminine collections of women’s evening, bridal and ready-to-wear fashions exude a timeless elegance and demonstrate the designers exceptional art for blending traditional with modern. Cristina’s finely honed appreciation for exceptional design and superb construction are everywhere evident in her work. In 2018, Cristina was selected as a finalist for the prestigious Fashion Group International Rising Star Award.

Cristina Ottaviano Collections are sold domestically and internationally and are produced in her New York City atelier.
